Power Systems

With our Caterpillar and MaK engines and the SkySails wind propulsion systems, we keep things moving – powerfully and efficiently. In the 15 KW to 16 MW range, the engines (also part of the portfolio of our manufacturer partner Caterpillar) serve as main and auxiliary power systems in container ships, freighters, ferries, fishing vessels and cruise ships, as well as locomotives, construction machines, commercial vehicles and other industrial machines. In other segments, power generators and Zeppelin-developed combined heat and power plants ensure reliable, efficient power delivery. And SkySails is a unique wind propulsion system for ships that uses large kites to assist traditional power systems. The wind propulsion system is delivered by SkySails Hamburg.
